Super Queens Batgirl Posin’ Doll (Ideal, 1967).
The “Super Queens” were created by Ideal Toys in the mid ‘60s to try to capitalize on the popularity of superhero action figures and of dolls such as Barbie. The series of comic heroines, based on DC’s Supergirl, Batgirl, Wonder Woman, and Mera, Queen of Atlantis, were developed as the “Supergirl Series”, but later became known as the Super Queens. This Batgirl doll is 11.5" tall and is in its original packaging and shrink-wrap. A very limited number of these were manufactured, making them some of the rarest of Batman collectibles. In Very Fine condition with a crease through the middle of the box. Box features original Murphy Anderson art. From the Ben Novack, Jr. Estate Collection.
